Gorgeous Yana
Poolside with gorgeous fitness model Yana
Iana Barladean, known on social as Yana @yana.fitmodel, carries a presence that feels both composed and instinctive, something that reveals itself almost immediately in front of the camera. This was the first time we worked together, during a shoot hosted by Donny of Donny’s Devil, whose fashion show productions are known for their edgy, glamour-driven atmosphere. From the start, there was a natural alignment in energy as we discussed ideas for the shoot.
When I meet a model for the first time, the focus is always on understanding her rhythm, how she poses, how she emotes, and how she moves within the frame. Yana and I connected quickly in that way. There was no need to over-direct. Her awareness of her angles and her ability to transition between poses made the process feel fluid, almost conversational.
The lighting conditions were relatively straightforward, but to achieve the depth and separation I wanted from the background, I introduced a controlled flash. Even when using flash, my approach is always minimal. The goal is never to overpower the scene, but to enhance what is already there, keeping the final image natural, clean, and flattering to the subject.
The bikini Yana wore was provided by Pinky Swim, a brand I connected with through previous collaborations. After meeting Yana, it felt like a natural fit for her physique and skin tone. The look complemented her shape perfectly allowing the focus to stay on her movement and her presence in front of the camera. For this set, we captured both photo and video, marking the beginning of the visual work we’ve continued to build with runway and editorial.
Captured by Rimmel for A Vision Supreme, this shoot reflects a moment working with a model whose presence translates effortlessly on camera. It was our first time creating together, and it set the tone for the continued work we’ve built since.
