The Fierce Beauty of Jenny Nieman
This was my first time working with Jenny Nieman, and going into the shoot, I did not know exactly what to expect. It was our first time meeting in person, and the location itself was also new to me. What unfolded was one of those moments where everything aligns naturally.
We shot in Treasure Island, Florida, in a setting that immediately stood out. Just across from the beach, were a stretch of colorful and uniquely designed homes which became a perfect backdrop for some of our photosets. It gave the shoot a sense of place that went beyond the shoreline, something visually rich and unexpected.
The light that day was strong, but not overwhelming. It carried a natural intensity that shaped the mood of the images rather than competing with them. That same intensity revealed something in Jenny as she moved through each frame, a presence that felt confident, expressive, and fully engaged with the moment. It became clear early on that this was not just about capturing a look, but about capturing energy.
Jenny Nieman, also known to many as Jenni Nieman, brings a balance of strength and softness that translates effortlessly on camera. There is a natural confidence in the way she carries herself, but also an openness that makes the process feel collaborative rather than directed. That combination is what gave this shoot its tone.
What stood out just as much as the visuals was her personality. Jenny was warm and easy to talk to throughout the shoot. That kind of energy changes everything. It allows the work to evolve naturally, without forcing moments or overthinking direction.
This shoot became the foundation for what I would come to define as her “fierce beauty.” Not just in appearance, but in presence. The way she holds a frame, the way she emotes, and the way she brings intention into even the simplest movements.
Captured by Rimmel for A Vision Supreme, this series with Jenny reflects a moment where a first collaboration turned into something much more valuable and genuine. It marked the beginning of a creative direction that continues to evolve through future work in both photography and video.
